Pride Royalty Campaign!

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be a resident in the Greater Los Angeles area (except Long Beach), which includes Ventura, Inland Empire (i.e., San Bernardino, Riverside County) and Orange County.


2. Must be at least 21 years of age.


3. Must submit a personal statement detailing why you would like to run for the position of Ms, Miss, Mx, or Mr. LA Pride. (200 Word Maximum)


4. Submit a headshot to imperialcourtoflahollywood@gmail.com with the application for Candidate Announcement promotional flyers.


5. Submit Filing Fee with the application for $75 - Via Venmo @ICLAH. Note: “Pride Fee" or via PayPal - see the link.

CAMPAIGN RULES

1. All candidates are REQUIRED to attend the Pride Royalty Candidate Announcement (April) & Crowning Event (May).


2. No campaigning or declaration of candidacy may take place before the Candidate Announcement Event.


3. CAMPAIGN EVENT/ FLYERS REQUIREMENTS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

•“NET PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE NICOLE MURRAY RAMIREZ SCHOLARSHIP FUND”

•“ICLAH IS A 501 (C) 3 NON-PROFIT”

• COURT VENMO/PAYPAL

• COURT LOGO

• APPROVAL BY BOARD PRESIDENT/ EVENT COORDINATORS

• AN EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER OF THE ICLAH MEMBER MUST BE PRESENT AT YOUR FUNDRAISING EVENT TO COLLECT CASH DONATIONS.


4. No alcoholic beverages in photos.


5. Tag ICLAH on any posts you share on social media.


6. No external online fundraising pages can be created. Such as GoFundMe, or personal Venmo. We believe all contestants will act with honesty and integrity and submit all cash donations accordingly. Any act of dishonesty will result in disqualification and further involvement with the ICLAH.


7. Violation of any of these rules will result in the immediate termination of your candidacy.


8. No “Piggyback” on events during campaigning month unless previously coordinated and/or collaboration has been agreed upon by two or more candidates and event holders.

VOTING RULES

A. $1= 1 VOTE.


B. ONLINE DONATIONS START IMMEDIATELY AFTER CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT VIA COURT VENMO (COMMENT YOUR NAME / PRIDE) or PAYPAL and STOP AT 11:59 PM BEFORE CROWNING EVENT.


C. CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITH APPROVAL 7 DAYS BEFORE THE CROWNING EVENT BY THE EVENT COORDINATOR.


D. CASH DONATIONS ARE TURNED IN WITH SCHEDULED MEET-UPS WITH EVENT COORDINATOR and /or TO EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER ATTENDING YOUR FUNDRAISING EVENT. A RECEIPT WILL BE PROVIDED UPON YOUR SUBMISSION.


E. ALL CASH MUST BE TURNED IN UPON ARRIVAL OF THE CROWNING EVENT.

EXPECTATIONS

1. ORGANIZE AND HOST ONE (1) EVENT WITHIN 120 DAYS OF CROWNING TO BENEFIT A LOCAL NON-PROFIT APPROVED BY THE BOARD. YOU MAY COLLABORATE WITH A COUNTERPART.


2. ORGANIZE AND HOST A SECOND EVENT BY MARCH OF THE FOLLOWING YEAR TO BENEFIT A LOCAL NON-PROFIT APPROVED BY THE BOARD. YOU MAY COLLABORATE WITH A COUNTERPART.


3. Attend ICLAH designated court events and sibling court events (i.e., Long Beach) to the best of your availability and attend the LA Pride Parade. DRESS CODE: “ROYALTY - DRESS TO IMPRESS”


4. Attend ICLAH Coronation and volunteer as requested.


5. You must wear your assigned sash and crown at all required events and be in your elected title. (I.E. Drag Title = Be in Drag)


6. You will serve as ambassadors for the Imperial Court of Los Angeles & Hollywood and help promote ICLAH charities.
